With your setup I would get a simple digital delay with an EQ system. Most units I've played through have 100 or more presets for various sounds and I always reduce them down to four or five effects, with only two of them for ninety five percent of my use. Delay and reverb are the primary concerns. Amps simply can't compliment every guitar, so it helps to have a pre EQ to shape your steel sound before you use the amp controls. I haven't kept up with all the processors since I've settled into the Lexicon equipment, so I can't suggest a brand off the top of my head. A lot of steel players use Peavey processors so you might check one of those out.
