I used to think there was a difference but how much was mental floss, I don't know. I've been told the dimensions of a coil will affect the sound so maybe there's something to it. The only way to keep your mind from running and playing is to A/B two guitars. I thought my Emmons S-12 didn't have the sound for studio work until I used it on a session with Billy Walker. On the playback, it sounded like my D-10.
