I don't know whether it will be something to look forward to steel wise, but the sessions were with Ray Price, and the rich tonal quality in his voice is better than ever. I had amp and gear problems for two of the days that I could have done without so the traditional Price steel tone is scarce on this album. I played Dobro on two or three of the songs and especially enjoyed that part. Overall, it was a wonderful experience getting together again with some of the original Cherokee session players. The musicians were Bob Moore (bass), Buddy Harman (drums), Pete Wade (guitar), Harold Bradley (guitar), Jimmy Capps (guitar), David Briggs (piano), and Rob Hajacos (fiddle). I don't have a title for the album but I've been told it will be released in early summer on the Audium label.
