LOL… Yes, we try to keep things honest and up front. :-) A few basic chord charts were there, but as with any unrehearsed gig it was a crapshoot for some of the more unfamiliar songs. With musicians of their caliber, a rehearsal or one more show would have made a big difference in some of the tunes, but the spirit was there and I did have a great time working with them. Rob Mullins went on to establish a wonderful career in jazz and if you want to hear him at his best, look for his CD called Jazz Jazz. There's a bass solo in the title tune by Brian Bromberg, and that one instrumental is worth the price of the entire album.
