The original version was recorded with a Bigsby, but I used finger picks. Bigsby steels had a soft high end, which probably accounts for the no pick sound. On the later version, I moved my hand closer to the bridge than normal to have more resistance in the strings but I didn't mute with my palm on the bridge.
